College planning presentation Sept. 23 at Squalicum High

BELLINGHAM – Teenagers interested in learning more about planning for life after high school are invited to a presentation by a college admissions expert Thursday, Sept. 23.

Peter Van Buskirk, founder of Van Buskirk College Planning Solutions, will present “Getting From Where You Are to Where you Want to Be.” During the presentation, Van Buskirk will give students tips on outlining their post-high school path and finding a college that is right for them.

The event is sponsored by Squalicum High School’s Gear Up program, which is designed to help low-income students succeed in college.

The presentation, which is designed for upper middle and high school students and their families, starts at 6:30 p.m. in Squalicum’s forum, 3773 E. McLeod Road.
